At Colorado Access, we are committed to caring for you and your success as you serve our members. Our monthly Provider Update highlights essential information and resources to support you as a contracted provider with us.

Checking Credentialing Status

You can now check the status of those approved for credentialing at your clinic. When you log into the provider portal, click "Reports." You will find a report at the bottom of the page with a list of credentialed providers under the clinic tax ID number and the approval/effective date. If you have any questions about credentials, please email credentialing@coaccess.com

Primary Care Medical Provider (PCMP) Network Feedback

We have several upcoming opportunities for the primary care medical provider (PCMP) network to share feedback on the administrative payment models under ACC Phase III. We will review priority areas identified by the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF), provide comprehensive overviews of potential metrics, discuss complex member populations and care coordination objectives, and encourage you to share your insights and suggestions.

All sessions will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. online:

  • Adult focus: Thursday, September 26

  • Reproductive health focus: Tuesday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 30

We recommend that family medicine providers attend both the pediatric and adult sessions.

Your feedback and insights help us refine these models to ensure alignment with our regional goals. Click here to register. If you have any questions, please contact our payment reform team.

COVID-19 Reimbursement Rates

The COVID-19 vaccine administration rate will change for dates of service on or after October 1, 2024. The vaccine will be reimbursed at the same rate as all other vaccines. The Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code 90480 reimbursement rate will change to $21.17.

All vaccine reimbursement rates were updated on July 1, 2024. Click here to read the immunization fee schedule.

Coverage and rates are the same for Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) members.

Health Care News Highlights

Health Literacy Conference

The Colorado Health Literacy Coalition’s annual health literacy conference is on Thursday, September 26, in Denver. This year, the keynote speaker is Lisa Fitzpatrick, MD, a national expert in health literacy known for her “Dr. Lisa on the Street” videos. The cost is $125, but sponsors UCHealth and the Health Literacy Coalition do not want cost to be a barrier and are willing to waive or reduce the fee for people who would like to attend.

Colorado Health Coverage Comparison Tool

There are many health plan options here in Colorado. Learn more about each with this free tool from HCPF.

988 Colorado Mental Health Line

The Colorado Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and 988 Crisis Hotline Enterprise are launching a campaign to promote the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line. The crisis line connects callers to trained crisis specialists who offer mental health, emotional, and substance use support through calls, texts, and chats.

Although the state is transitioning from Colorado Crisis Services to 988, the same contact center manages both services, and the walk-in centers will not be impacted. Colorado Crisis Services will continue to be available.

Learn more on the new 988 website. If you have questions, read the 988 frequently asked questions page or email the BHA and 988 board team at 988colorado@state.co.us.
