NEED TO KNOW

Save the Date for Our Quarterly Provider Meeting
Please save the date for our next provider meeting. It will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Look for the agenda early next month! These meetings are an opportunity for you to hear important program updates, network with colleagues, and get answers to your questions. We want these events to be of value to you.

If you have suggestions for future topics or general feedback, please contact Amber Garcia at amber.garcia@coaccess.com.
Incorrect 1099s Issued
We inadvertently issued incorrect 1099 forms to  providers contracted with Colorado Access and also those who were contracted with Behavioral Healthcare Inc.. This came from 2018 payment data being used to generate the forms instead of 2019 payment data. We are working to issue correct 1099 forms.

If you received an incorrect 1099 form, you can discard it as these amounts were not reported to the IRS. The revised 1099 forms will be mailed out the week of February 7th and the correct information will be reported to the IRS.

If you received a 1099 and should not have because you did not receive payments from Colorado Access or Behavioral Healthcare Inc. in 2019, please note that this information was not reported to the IRS and you will not receive another 1099 form.

If you have any questions, please contact your provider relations representative or email providerrelations@coaccess.com.

Denver Health Medicaid Choice Update
On January 1, 2020, the Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) made changes to the way it contracts with Denver Health (Denver Health Medicaid Choice [DHMC]). Behavioral health claims for members of Denver Health Medicaid Choice should be submitted to Colorado Access for payment. Physical health claims should be submitted to Denver Health for processing.

You can verify if any of your patients are members of Denver Health Medicaid Choice by using the Health First Colorado Provider Web Portal here. More information on this change is attached here. If you have any questions, please contact your provider relations representative or email providerrelations@coaccess.com.
PROGRAM UPDATES

Advancing Team-Based Care through Technical Assistance
The Colorado Health Foundation (www.coloradohealth.org) is interested in supporting Colorado’s primary care clinics in implementing team-based care through a recently released funding opportunity, Advancing Team-based Care Through Technical Assistance.  Funding will support clinics in receiving technical assistance from John Snow, Inc. and Nonprofit Finance Fund to improve their clinical and business capacity to so they can offer high-quality, team-based comprehensive primary care. Your clinic can apply for up to $125,000 over two years to cover clinic staff member participation in the funding opportunity and any education and travel-related expenses associated with implementing team-based care.  The Foundation is contracting directly with John Snow, Inc. and Nonprofit Finance Fund to cover their work with the clinics.  All criteria and process for applying can be found here:  https://www.coloradohealth.org/funding-opportunities/advancing-team-based-care-through-technical-assistance or you can contact Khanh Nguyen, senior program officer at the Foundation at (303) 953-3639 or knguyen@coloradohealth.org for more information.

Incentive payments are a central component of the State’s Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC) Pay-for-Performance program. Since the initiation of the program, the State has made incentive payments for performance on identified key performance indicators (KPIs) when the region, as a whole, meets the KPI goals set by the State.

As the Regional Accountable Entity (RAE) for Regions 3 and 5, we disburse incentive payments to providers for KPI successes earned at the regional level. We are pleased to inform you that Regions 3 and 5 have met certain KPIs for State fiscal year 2019 Quarter 3! You will be receiving a payment based on your attributed membership for the measurement quarter. This payment will be sent in a check separate from your typical PMPM payment. We will be distributing these payments quarterly when future KPI goals are met and once we receive each quarterly payment from the State.

If you have any questions regarding this payment, please contact your provider relations representative or call the provider relations main number at 844-430-6684.

Thank you for all that you do for our members!
